Buda’s own Chambers Theatre Company, in partnership with The City of Buda and the Buda Arts Commission, presents the live, outdoor musical production of Into the Woods.
James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim weave together beloved storybook characters in this Tony Award-winning modern classic that is both enchanting and thought-provoking.
The tale follows a Baker and his wife hoping for a child, Cinderella wishing to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack wishing his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife discover a Witch’s curse is to blame, they embark on a quest to break it. Wishes come true, but at a cost, as consequences unfold with haunting results.
One of Sondheim’s most celebrated works, Into the Woods offers rich material for actors and designers alike, blending dark comedy with magical storytelling.
