Amster Gallery
The award-winning Amster Gallery showcases artists from Hays County and the surrounding region. Artists are invited to present a cohesive body of work through independently booked exhibitions, with full creative and financial autonomy. In addition to gallery exhibitions, we regularly post Open Calls for commissioned projects, charitable collaborations, and paid creative opportunities. We also accept Gift Shop submissions for artist-made work that’s ready for retail and helps shoppers support local artists year-round. New calls are added on an ongoing basis. Artist-Led Exhibition Process
We are pleased to announce an Open Call for artists interested in presenting a three-week exhibition in the Amster Gallery, with select opportunities to exhibit in additional spaces throughout Inspired Minds Art Center.
As part of a newly restructured exhibition model, artists are offered complete creative and financial autonomy. Exhibiting artists retain full control over their presentation and keep 100% of artwork sales. For 2026, the gallery is offering a $425 transition rate, positioning Amster Gallery as one of the most accessible professional exhibition spaces in the Austin metro area.
This opportunity is open to both emerging and established artists seeking to share a cohesive body of work in an award-winning gallery committed to supporting contemporary artists and artist-led exhibitions. Inspired Minds Art Center does not take a commission on artwork sales.
All exhibited artwork is reviewed to ensure it aligns with Amster Gallery’s family- and community-friendly exhibition standards, which are outlined in the artist guidelines.

Open Calls for Artists
We are currently seeking small, handcrafted, unique items to offer for sale in the gift shop section of the Gallery at Inspired Minds Art Center.
We have limited space available in our shop, and we will ensure that there is a variety of products available. Preference will be given to Hays County area artists and vendors, but anyone is welcome to submit.

Ally Medical ER Mural

Inspired Minds Art Center (IMAC) invites you to submit a proposal for a pediatric treatment room mural at Ally Medical Emergency Room in Buda, Texas—a meaningful project honoring Dr. Stefan Hood, a beloved Emergency Medicine physician who passed away suddenly. Please read through the entire document as it will answer many of your questions.
Project Summary:

Scope: ~100 sq ft interior mural (realistic with whimsical elements)

Theme: Iconic Buda (including historic Train Depot) with a subtle "easter egg" tribute to Dr. Hood

Installation: January 16 - February 16, 2026 in a private, decommissioned exam room with 24/7 flexible access

Proposal Deadline: Wednesday, December 31, 2025, 5:00 PM CT
Why This Matters: This mural will honor Dr. Hood's legacy while creating an uplifting environment for pediatric patients. The client initially requested a short timeline and an end of year completion date, but has extended the timeline to a completion date of no later then February 16th, 2026

Be a part of the 2025 Buda Arts Festival!
This is a juried exhibit open to artists of all mediums for artwork created prior to the Buda Art Festival.
Artists must submit a portfolio of 3 works of art in any medium to be juried. A link to upload images will be provided in the follow-up Registration Email. If selected, artists may display up to two works of art for the Festival Art Show. Artists will be notified of acceptance within 5 days from submission date.

Every year, we are amazed by the talent and dedication of our students, and this exhibition is our way of honoring your artistic journey. Inspired Minds is more than just a place to take classes—it’s a vibrant community where creativity, learning, and friendships flourish.
Adult students (18+) have the option to sell their artwork in the show! No pressure—this is completely up to you. Whether you create for personal fulfillment or are ready to share your art with the world, we support you. If you have questions about pricing your work, feel free to chat with your instructor.

Charitable Project: Buy a Bowl, Feed 100 People
On January 25, 2025, Inspired Minds Art Center is celebrating its 5th birthday by giving back to the community that has been so supportive of the arts. The art center is teaming up with local artists and restaurants to raise money for the Hays County Food Bank by hosting an Empty Bowl event entitled, “Buy a Bowl, Feed 100 People.” Every handcrafted, ceramic bowl sold at the event will come with a choice of gourmet soup from local restaurants. The proceeds from each $35 Empty Bowl purchase will be donated to the Hays County Food Bank to feed 100 people!
The Need: 400 Ceramic Bowls
We are seeking 400 ceramic soup bowls of all sizes, shapes, and colors donated by area potters and pottery students.
