The Habit of Noticing A film photography residency by Desiree Steele

This fall, photographer and storyteller Desiree Steele takes up residence at Inspired Minds Art Center with The Habit of Noticing - a collection photographed entirely on film, built around a simple idea: slow down, pay attention, and notice the ordinary things most of us drive right past.

Guests are invited to bring a meaningful photograph and share the story behind it. Desiree will share some of her own secrets for noticing and capturing the moments that might otherwise be missed, while exploring how photographs preserve our memories, document where we've been, and tell the stories of our lives.

• No photography experience is necessary — just bring a photograph and the story it holds.
