Festivus For The Restuvus: A Holiday For Everyone
As a bandleader and entertainer, I've played many Winter Holiday shows. Two things gave me a headache: 1) How to include everyone and, 2) How to spread light, joy & love without ignoring the reality of our messed up world. The answer came when I produced my first Festivus show, back in 2011: Festivus is completely fictitious; it means whatever we want. So we celebrate all the emotions and memories that the holiday season dredges up, in a spirit of multi-cultural inclusiveness.
