Amster Maker Studio
The Amster Maker Studio is a walk-in creative space at Inspired Minds Art Center where individuals, families, and small groups can drop in and make something by hand—no experience required. Designed for relaxed, approachable creativity, the Maker Studio offers simple DIY projects and walk-in pottery painting that can typically be completed in one to two hours.
Whether you’re stopping by on a whim, meeting a friend, or looking for something creative to do in Buda, the Maker Studio is a low-pressure way to spend time making, connecting, and trying something new.
what you can make today
Walk-In Pottery Painting
Our walk-in pottery painting experience is fully integrated into the Maker Studio and available during all walk-in hours.
Guests choose from a selection of ceramic pieces, each clearly priced and ready to paint. We provide a wide variety of glazes, along with all brushes and tools needed. Once finished, your piece is professionally kiln-fired by our staff.
The prices marked on the bottom of each ceramic pieces start at $20 and include:

Finished pieces are ready for pickup after firing, and you’ll be notified when they’re complete.
No reservations required—just walk in and paint.
Card-Making & Paper Crafts
The Maker Studio also includes an open, self-guided card making and paper crafting station stocked with paper, embellishments, and basic tools.
Guests can create handmade cards for birthdays, holidays, thank-yous, or just because. This station is designed for short creative visits and easy add-ons.
Card making is a $10 flat fee - making it a great option for companions, kids, or anyone who wants to create something meaningful in a short amount of time.

The Maker Studio is designed to be easy, welcoming, and flexible—perfect for first-timers and repeat visitors alike.
Maker Studio Walk-in hours
Monday–Thursday:

1:00–5:00 PM

(Hours may vary slightly due to evening classes.)
Friday:

1:00–6:00 PM

First Friday of each month: Open until 8:00 PM for adult walk-in crafting and pottery painting.
Saturday:

1:00–6:00 PM
Outside of walk-in hours, the Maker Studio is used for scheduled classes and ticketed workshops.
Workshops & special Maker Events
On select evenings and weekends, the Maker Studio transforms into a space for guided DIY crafter workshops featuring larger or more advanced projects.
These ticketed workshops may include seasonal décor, door leaners, and specialty maker projects and require advance registration.

Visiting with a group?
Walk-ins are always welcome as space allows.

Groups of 6 or more are encouraged to give us a heads-up when possible

Larger groups may be asked to split seating or consider booking a party during busy times
