Jessica's work is described as modern, abstract and expressionistic. Influences come from artists and art movements such as Wassily Kandinsky, Lee Krasner, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline, ancient Mayan art and abstract expressionists.

With a passion for creating, Jessica studied Studio Art and Graphic Design at Texas State University graduating with a BFA in Communication Design. She applied her graphic design and studio art skills to manufacture, market, and sell yoga mat bag carriers that sold in yoga studios and fitness boutiques across Central Texas.

After a move to Austin, Texas, she refined her creative output by focusing on creating art for homes and businesses. Partnering with interior designers, business owners and art lovers, Jessica has adorned many walls and interiors with inspiring work specific to each client’s needs.

MEET THE ARTIST

This lifelong artist began seriously pursuing art in 2014. Her passion for clouds, the plains, rolling hills and mountains in her somewhat abstract landscape pieces. Teresa’s focus on how lighting affects what we see in the landscape is evident throughout her work. You may find purple acrylic mountains, big open cloudless blue skies or paint teamed with crayon and permanent marker to recreate a tall stand of trees. The idea is for you to feel the beauty of nature. Stop, and see how a cloud passing over creates a lavender shadow on the plains. Her abstracts include representations of nature and human emotion.

Teresa is a local Texas artist whose work has been exhibited in many Austin area locations. She participates in group and curated exhibits at Art for The People Gallery, Round Rock Arts, Georgetown Arts, Lost Pines Art Center and The Price Center and Garden in San Marcos, Texas as well as The Hive, Bee Cave Arts Foundation.
