about

Joy Bliss is a self-taught, self-represented painter based in Texas who has called the state home since 2008. Her work blends vibrant color, intricate pattern, and a fluid sense of movement ranging from the surreal to the serene, the fantastical to the abstract. Inspired by nature and music, Joy creates layered paintings that celebrate natural beauty, feminine strength, and the quiet moments of discovery that reward a closer look.

Working across mediums and techniques, Joy continually expands her visual language through experimentation and curiosity. She takes on custom paintings and murals alongside her own personal bodies of work, always searching for new ways to push the boundaries of what a painting can hold. Her work invites you to spend time with it and find something new every time you do.

Amster spotlight  residency program

The Amster Gallery Spotlight Residency is a 3-month featured artist program for local 2D artists, that launched July 206 as part of the Amster Gallery & Artist Program at Inspired Minds Art Center in the heart of downtown Buda.

Selected artists receive dedicated gallery wall space, host monthly events to engage and inspire the community, and share an informative blog post on the Inspired Minds Art Center website.

The program is designed for working 2D artists who are ready to show and sell in a professional setting, connect with the Buda community, and grow a real audience for their work. Preference is given to artists based in Buda, Kyle, and the greater Hays County area.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Visit our Open Calls page for eligibility details and submission instructions.
